With the onset of winters cold and cough is a common thing, especially with the kids. Going for hard medicines every time is definitely not my choice so I generally use something from my mom’s home remedy.This is a ginger and honey paste which we make at home.
Take 2 spoons of ginger juice(you can grate ginger and then squeeze it to extract the juice) in a big spoon or a small bowl. Put it on gas stove and let it boil on simmer, keep on giving it periodic stirs. Remove it from the stove when it is reduced to half in quantity and thickens. Let it cool down and then add 1/2 spoon of honey to it, if it tastes very bitter then you can increase the quantity of honey little bit. Have a lick of this 3 times a day and make sure you do not have water after this for 15-20 minutes. Make another preparation of this once it is over.
