Hello friends,

Hope you are doing good. We all are aware of stretch marks and for those of you who are not, they are a form of skin scarring along with skin discoloration. How they look depends on individuals skin tone and type. Well there can be many reason for them, they can be caused because of sudden weight gain, pregnancy,  stretch marks from working out etc.

They are basically caused when our skin is forced to stretch beyond a certain limit. So if you take good care of your skin and keep it moisturized and supple by drinking lots of water daily and eating fruits and veggies you can minimize there occurrence. But still if they appear you need not be dis-heartened, you can try out these 3 easy home remedies to get rid of stretch marks.

1-Turmeric and Curd paste for stretch marks

Depending upon the area on which you have stretch marks take small amount of curd in a bowl and mix turmeric to it. You can keep the ratio as 4 spoons curd with 1/2 spoon turmeric. If you are little sensitive to turmeric reduce the quantity. Apply it on your stretch marks and leave it for 15 minutes. Then wash off with water. Do this daily and you will be able to see your stretch marks reducing. To avoid stretch marks during pregnancy you can start applying this mixture from early pregnancy only to keep the skin supple and increase it’s elasticity.

P.S. – You need to be sure if your are not allergic to turmeric by applying this paste on a small patch on your hand. If you see some redness then you need not try this, you can try out the other two remedies. Turmeric leaves a yellow tinge to skin, you need not worry it goes off.
