Days back I was telling Abhishek how I wanted to do something useful with my old sarees lying in closet which I am not sure of wearing them in future also. One because I am not a daily saree person and secondly some of them were gifted to me and are bit different for my taste now. I did not know what to do with them as they are in very good condition and I don’t feel like doing away with them just like that adding to the waste dump in city. I even got a Lehenga made for my daughter with one such saree but there are many more like these…
When yesterday this message popped up in my Facebook about Goonj saree donation drive, I immediately knew I wanted to participate. The good feeling that my unused sarees will be used by some women who would cherish wearing them more than I would have ever done was beyond imagination. The very minute I registered myself here Donate Saree and I got details of Drop points in my city on my mobile. Now all I need to do is reach out to the nearest Limeroad/Goonj Dropping Center and give my Sarees. I have even asked my friends and neighbours to handover their sarees to me incase they are not able to make it themselves to the drop points, you can also try doing it and collect as many sarees as possible and make so many more women happy this Diwali. The drop points are open till Diwali so don’t be late #PledgeASareewithLimeRoadGoonj

This is something I believe in and not just only around Diwali. Thank you for throwing a light on it. We should always do the needful for people who need it. Indeed a good initiative by Goonj.

It feels very great after sharing anything to the needed one.
And making anyone else happy makes you happy.
Thank you.
